I am Russell Bateman and I am the founder of The Skinny Bitch Collective.
SBC is the most talked about wellness and lifestyle project for women right now. Preaching squatting, sleep and sex and fusing strength and metabolic conditioning with signature SBC movements.
Since being called "the secret class for supermodels" the elite crop of British fashion swear by SBC and are training alongside the next generation of female icons. These are women training the RIGHT way and supplementing their training regimes with the RIGHT nutrition.
Having coached athletes and trained alongside some top health professionals, I developed a training regime through a collective that is aimed specifically at promoting lean, strong and empowering women through reeducating them on the misconceptions around fitness and wellness.
This illusive class is designed to throw you as far away from your comfort zone as possible. Boredom becomes the enemy: whether you are training using our app or at one of my classes.
SBC is about a balanced lifestyle and embraces elements we feel will upgrade every aspect of a woman’s life. The most talked about training and lifestyle regime for women is about to land in the palm of your hand.
How do you act on inspiration?
I find inspiration in all walks of life. I understand it's in my job description now that I must try to inspire on a daily basis. It can manifest with a quote, a picture or exercise or something completely out of the ordinary. I'm inspired by humans and their individual patterns. I'm inspired by being healthy and able. I'm driven by a real passion to treat our genetics with sublimity in every way we can.
Favorite iPhone app?
I think Instagram. It’s a tool to connect and engage a large audience in an instant. It changed the world.
What’s your philosophy on nutrition in one sentence.
Be your own guinea pig.
See what works for you. Not everyone is gluten intolerant or has a problem with dairy. Graze don't gorge!
According to you, what is the future of health and fitness?
Spiritual elements will come into training more and more. The power of the mind to overcome, challenge and conquer our fears and make us stronger in so many spheres. The human mind and body is nowhere near it's potential. Do not underestimate yourself and overestimate others.
Change your mind to change your actions or change your actions to change your mind and why?
Both are essential to grow and develop. They have to work on sync. Your priorities must dictate your choices in every sense.
At the end of the day most of us just want to matter. We hope that we get to use who we are to contribute to a greater good. How do you want SBC to make that contribution?
I want people to take away invaluable information, feel invigorated and embrace an open mind. I want people to transition that in their approach to people, wellness and life. Oh and… they're also going to get in amazing shape!
